Data Protection Law
As I.T. seems to infiltrate every part of our living and daily lives, the law needs to regulate and restrict its use and abuse. The availability of personal information needs to be controlled. The individual should be protected from being bombarded with unsuitable or unwanted information.
Individuals and companies need clear advice as to what they may do with information once they have it and the consequences of improper storage, use and dissemination of that information.
The firm has particular expertise in this area and Nicholas Woolf has given lectures and published a booklet on this subject and has a particular interest in the freedom of information and speech.
